Yes. We offer a range of local short-stays for people who are traveling with us for the first time.
How do I get started?

What ratio of support can I expect from Cocoon Adventures?
Prices listed are based on a group support ratio of 1:3 but 1:1 support is also available upon request.
Will I meet other people on my trip?
Yes. Our supported small group adventures provide an opportunity for people to make new friends.
Can I choose to bring my own support worker?
Yes. You can bring either a support worker, a friend or a family member. Give us a call to enquire about how we can do this.
What if I want to go somewhere that is not part of the holidays you are offering?
We can create a customised itinerary for you so that you can experience your holiday your way.
Can I come on a holiday if I have complex support needs?
Yes. We have people in our team who specialise in supporting people with a broad range of needs and interests. We can match you with someone 1:1 that has the experience to suit your support needs and your hobbies.
Will I have someone to help me with my personal care requirements?
Yes. We allocate the support team and accommodation based on people’s personal care needs. If you have high personal care needs, we can also offer 1:1 support.
Do I have to live in Brisbane?
No. We have travellers who join our holidays from all over Australia. Contact us for a custom quote to travel from your location.
Do I have to have a disability to go on a holiday with Cocoon Adventures?
No. There are no eligibility criteria. We support travellers who work and live independently as well as people who live in the family home, in supported living or in aged care residences.
Can I bring my assistance dog on my holiday?
Yes. It may depend on the destination but we can make this work for you.
Will you be able to cater to my dietary requirements?
Yes we cater to all dietary requirements and food allergies. Healthy options are always encouraged and sugary drinks are avoided.
Will you help with administering medication and help me prevent any allergic reactions?
Yes. Our support team are trained in administering medications, first aid and CPR as well as EpiPens.

Can I choose to bring my own support worker?
Yes. We can customize a holiday where you can bring your own support person. You can also choose for us to provide you with a support person because this is your holiday, your way.
Can you provide me with a support worker that can drive me around on my holiday?
Yes. Our support team can provide an accessible vehicle so that you can explore the region here in Southeast Queensland.
Can you help me develop an itinerary that is accessible and suits my needs?
Yes. Once we have an understanding of your needs we can tailor an itinerary to ensure it is accessible for you. This is your holiday, your way.
Can you meet me at Brisbane Airport if I want to visit this area?
Yes. We can meet you and drive you to where you want to go. We can help with booking accommodation, sightseeing and any activities you want to experience.
Can you support me if I need to travel for personal reasons?
Yes. Whatever reason you are traveling, our highly skilled team can support you.
Can you support me if I want to take a holiday with my family or friends?
Yes. If you are traveling with your family we can support you in the destination you choose. You don’t have to miss out on those important moments with the people closest to you, whether you are traveling for a wedding or graduation we can be there to support you.
Can you provide me with a support worker who has experience in supporting someone like me?
Yes. Our support team have experience supporting people of all abilities so once we understand your unique needs, we can match you with a team member and develop a support plan to suit you.
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the system through which people with a disability can access support services. It is designed to provide you with choice and control over the supports you receive and who provides them to you.
